Student Membership
Membership is based on the calendar year. Current pharmacy students receive complimentary student membership and may access the Members site. 

Recent Purdue University and Butler University pharmacy school graduates who attend IPA's NAPLEX Review receive complimentary membership through the end of the calendar year, at which time they may renew as a member at a discounted rate (New Pharmacist rate) for the following year. 

The reasons to join are endless.  As a student member, you will receive:

  • Electronic access to ImPAct, a monthly newsletter packed full of hot news that affects pharmacy!
  • Important updates by e-mail
  • Login privileges to the “members only” pages of the IPA web site
  • Legislative representation
  • Discounts at IPA meetings and events
  • An invitation to the annual "Future Pharmacists Conference" for students
  • Opportunities to attend and participate in committee meetings
  • An invitation to register for the NAPLEX Review Session for graduating pharmacy students from Butler University and Purdue Universities, sponsored annually by the IPA in June.

IPA Rotation Experience

General Description:
This rotation is a nontraditional practice setting which provides the student experience in different aspects of association management by completing competencies and participating in the daily workings of the Indiana Pharmacists’ Alliance (IPA).

Goal:

Understand the basic structure, mission and operations of the IPA in serving its membership and specifically the importance of professionalism and involvement in professional and leadership activities.

ASP Membership
The APhA Academy of Students of Pharmacy (APhA-ASP) is the student section of the American Pharmaceutical Association (APhA), representing over 18,000 pharmacy students at all schools in the United States and Puerto Rico. Pharmacy students, pre-pharmacy students, and post-BS PharmD students enrolled at an ACPE-accredited pharmacy school or college are eligible for membership in APhA-ASP. Pre-pharmacy students on a pharmacy school campus who are not enrolled in the college of pharmacy are eligible for associate student member status. Young Pharmacist Leadership Conference – Future Opportunities
The Young Pharmacists Leadership Conference (YPLC) is an annual leadership conference of outstanding young pharmacists in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. Each state pharmacy association nominates 8 young pharmacists who have practiced pharmacy for 10 years or less. The annual conference is held in northern Ohio in the fall each year. 2003 IPA Student Advisory Committee
The IPA Student Advisory Committee, nominated by faculty from each pharmacy school, was a great opportunity for student leaders to get involved in their state pharmacy association.
